Hood (Hood) – a headdress, originally – a kind of hood with a long “tail”. Designed to protect the head and neck from cold and bad weather.
And for sure comfortable on cold autumn evenings or in strong winds if you in the hood. If it gets hot in a hood, you can always take it off your head like a regular modern hood, while the hood itself will remain on your neck and will not be lost anywhere.
Installing a linen lining inside the hood provides greater wearing comfort and gives a beautiful contrast of colors at the junction of fabrics.
The Scandinavian version of the hood is distinguished by a large rectangular wedge sewn in front and back.
