Diameter 8 or 10 cm.
The Rondel is a round flap that can be hang on different parts of the body for extra protection: for example, to protect a warrior’s armpit or being used as a disc shield on the handle of the dagger. Festons were a typical decoration of armor and clothing in the 13-15 centuries.
