Godendag (Dutch. goedendag, lit. – “good afternoon”) is a medieval pole weapon of percussive action: a heavy club the height of a man with a shaft expanding at the top, bound with iron and equipped with a sharp spike. It was most widely used in Flanders in the 14th century.
With Godendag you could not only stroke, but also use like a short, very heavy spear. Godendag must be used it with both hands; the shield mostly was not used.
