The breastplate (angl. breastplate) is a part of plate armor that covers the front of the body. It emerged in the late 14th century and remained in use until plate armor itself was no longer used. The breastplate and backplate form the components of the cuirass, and in some cases, the breastplate was used separately.

This breastplate can be successfully used as part of an armor set from the mid-15th century through the end of the 17th century.
