Cervellière Plastic Helmet, “God of War” Series
€85.00
Material: ABS plastic, thickness 4-5 mm
Description:
The Cervellière is a simple spherical helmet, with a crown made from a single piece of metal, designed to protect the upper part of the skull. It was commonly used alongside a chainmail coif for added protection.
The Cervellière was employed by knights as a standalone helmet or worn under a Topfhelm. It was typically used by less wealthy warriors. Sometimes, it was worn under a hat as “hidden protection.”
The French word Cervelliere, the Italian Cervelliera, and the German Hirnhaube all translate to “skullcap” or “brain-pan,” which is why it is often referred to as “Черепник” (Skullcap) in Russian. Another term used for it is Цервелиер (Cervellière).
The German term Kalottenhelme translates to “cap-helmet,” though this term is not commonly used in Russian.
