One of the most optimal options for HMB fights, combining good visibility, ease of breathing and good protection. Most HMB fighters and Pro-fighting fighters who have European armor of the 14th century choose this type of helmet.
In medieval knightly history, this type of helmet had the ability to remove the nasal from the mount on the forehead. The lower part of the nasal was attached to the aventail (aventile), and its upper part was fixed on a special mount, which made it possible to remove the noser at any time.
This type of nasal was typical only for Western and Central Europe and was found mainly in bascinets, occasionally found in skullcaps. Both helmets were designed to be worn under a pot helmet – German. topfhelm, if you want to improve visibility, the pot helmet was dropped, and the knight remained in the bascinet or in the Cervelliere.
But a bascinet with a nasal could also be used as an independent type of helmet
