Heraldic Shield with the Bolton Family Crest

The Bolton family crest features a flayed man, depicted upside down in the shape of an “X.” The official motto of the Boltons is “Our knives are sharp,” but they are also known to use the saying, “A naked man has few secrets, a flayed man has none.”

This shield is longer than standard shields, designed to meet the requirements of Historical Fencing Tournaments.

The extended top edge of the shield provides additional protection for the upper torso and head.

Dimensions:

• Width: 62 cm
• Height: 85 cm
• The shield surface is curved.

Material: Plywood, 8 mm thickness (two layers of 4 mm laminated).

The rim is covered with leather, and the shield’s surface is reinforced with high-strength canvas.

Base color (check with the manager for available colors).

The inner side of the shield features a wooden board imitation, stained with wood stain.

Shoulder leather strap and wool felt padding for comfort.
