The artifact on base of which this replica of the sword is made is the sword from the Glasgow Museum (Scotland). Excellent “Gaddhjalt” (“stick-thorn”) pattern.
This sword dates from the Viking Age, approximately 950 AD.
Its 77cm blade has an iron inlay: “INGELRII”.

Total length of the sword: 91 cm.
Guard width: 20 cm.
Blade width at guard: 5.2 cm.
Blade thickness at guard: 5 mm.
Weight of the sword: 1200-1250 g.
