Closed Matte Plastic Brassarts (pair). Series “Onyx”
€70.00
Series “Onyx” products are distinguished by their striving for correct historical shapes, the ability to be adjusted to a person’s size, and the neatness of assembly.
The default price is for ABS plastic. Thickness 3 mm (optimal thickness for LARP games, MSF, Cinema, Theater, and Cosplay)
Optionally:
– ABS plastic. Thickness 4 mm (optimal thickness for role-playing games with duralumin and textolite)
– The matte version looks great without any painting, giving the product’s surface the look of blued forged metal.
– The term Brassarts means anything located on or covering the arm from the shoulder joint to the elbow.
– This specific model of brassarts covers the arm with an additional flap inside the shoulder, giving additional protection to the shoulder and giving the arm protection a more complete, perfect look, compared to brassarts that cover only the outer part of the shoulder.
– Complete with vambraces, couters, and pauldrons, it provides full arm protection.
– Separate plates covering this part of the arm appeared as early as the 10th-11th century as part of lamellar armor.
– As a separate armor part, it reappeared in splint-brigandine form in the late 13th – early 14th centuries.
– Plate brassarts appear at the end of the 14th century and are one of the parts of composite plate arm protection.
– Brassarts can be laced to the pauldron and couter, or be independently attached to the padded armor.
