– Training version of the ancient Roman short sword gladius with a “Mainz” type blade.

The most prominent examples of this type are finds from Mainz (Germany) and Fulham (England).
– It features all the same functional parts as gladius replicas and a hilt very similar to replicas with a round pommel, which allows for practicing fencing skills of the antiquity period.
