Roman Plastic Helmet, “God of War” Series

140.00

Material: ABS plastic, thickness 4-5 mm

Description:

The Imperial helmet was used by Roman legionaries during the 1st to 3rd centuries AD. In Germany, these helmets are known as the Weisenau type, named after the location where some examples were found. The helmets were divided into two similar subtypes: the Imperial Gallic and the Imperial Italic. The primary difference between them was that the Gallic helmets featured a raised relief design of eyebrows on the forehead area.

The Imperial Gallic subtype originated from ancient Celtic helmets, while the Italic subtype was derived from the “Montefortino” helmet style. Auxiliary infantry also used similar helmets, but these were simpler and often made of bronze.

With minor adjustments, this helmet can be customized to resemble a variety of specific Roman helmet types.
