Ancient Roman short sword gladius with a blade of the Spanish type. Used since 200 BC up to 20 BC.
The Spanish gladius was the largest and heaviest of the gladias.
The earliest and longest of the gladias, it had a leaf-like shape.

The blade is made of spring tempered steel.
