Fiberglass Wakizashi
€100.00
Wakizashi (脇差) Overview:
The wakizashi is a short Japanese sword (shōtō), primarily used by samurai and worn on the belt. It was traditionally paired with a katana.
The blade has a single-edged sharpening and a slight curvature, resembling a katana in shape.
Wakizashi was crafted with various blade configurations and lengths, typically thinner than a katana. Due to its cross-section curvature being less pronounced, it was more effective at cutting soft objects compared to a katana.
The handle has a classic profile, as thick as a katana’s but shorter in length.
- Handle fittings are made of steel, secured with rivets
- Handle wrapped with a cord using traditional Japanese technique
