Description of the sword type XI by E. Oakeshott: “This type is distinguished by the presence of a thin blade, usually long in proportions with an hilt, with a very narrow fuller, ending 5-15 cm from the tip.”
This type of sword has significant differences from previous types of swords, such as Type X.
