Description
This type of shashka for cavalry and artillery was adopted in 1885 and remained in service until 1927. The checker of 1881 replaced the cavalry and dragoon sabers of all lower ranks. After the revolution, drafts arr. 1881 was actively used during the Civil War by the armies of both sides, as well as during the First Wold War
