The dome is welded from two parts.
The thickness of the halves is 2mm. The thickness of the nose plate is 3mm. Helmet was found in the territory of Belgium, dates back to the 11th century. Stored in Mainz, in the Roman-German Central Museum, the exhibition named “Das Reich Salier”. It differs from the majority of helmets of this type by the absence of a stiffener in the center of the helmet, as for example on a helmet from Olmuts and ones similar to it. It is also interesting that it has a top with a ring, possibly serving as an attachment point for a joker or similar jewelery.
