Rondel is a very broad term that combines many concepts.
This is a metal disk that protects the armpit of a warrior (sometimes called a besagyu) and a disk that is laced to the joints (elbow and shoulder) to protect them and the name of a dagger with disk shields on the handle and much more.
In our case, we mean a round shield that can be hung on different parts of the body in order to enhance their protection.

Festons were a typical decoration of armor and clothing in the 13-15 centuries.
