Description
Rondel Dagger – a type of dagger where instead of a guard and a pommel two disks were used. Known dagger of this type since the 14th century, but its heyday falls on the 15-16 century.
Like all other daggers, rondels from the weapons of the common people gradually turned into an element of equipment of knights. Like other types of daggers, the rondel was widely spread among all segments of the population of medieval Europe. In Central, Western and Northern Europe, they were worn everywhere, mainly suspended from a belt on the right or front.
