RONDEL DAGGER, or dagger-rondel (Rond – circle fr.) – a type of dagger where two discs were used instead of a guard and pommel. A dagger of this type is known starting from the 14th century, but its heyday falls on the 15th-16th centuries.
Like all other daggers, rondels gradually evolved from weapons of commoners into an element of knights’ equipment. Like other types of daggers, the rondel became widespread among all segments of the population of medieval Europe. In Central, Western and Northern Europe they were worn everywhere, mainly suspended on a belt on the right or in front.
It will be an excellent addition to the costume of any professional warrior or mercenary, because commoners or robbers and other scum did not carry such a dagger.
Protected LARP Weapons are models specially made of soft polyurethane foam. These models are used at role-playing games, trainings, and other entertainment events where fiberglass or duralumin weapons are not allowed.
Protected LARP weapons are soft and lightweight, so the risk of causing injury with them is minimal. They are used at events with a minimum amount of armor.
Also, protected LARP weapons are excellent for night role-playing battles, where usually no other weapons are allowed.
