Quilted mittens are one of the few options for protecting the hands 100% allowed at festivals in the early and developed Middle Ages.
A quilted mitten does not give absolute protection to the hands, but it protects enough from blows of bladed weapons, as well as from accidental injuries to the shield or elements of the enemy’s armor.
They can be used as an independent protection of the brush, and as a base for chain mail mittens.
