A simplified version of the Pourpoint by Charles Blois, which is currently in the Museum of Textiles in Lyon.
The Pourpoint is attributed to Charles de Blois (Charles de Blois, 1319 – 1364), Baron of Mayenne, Lord of Guise, pretender to the Duchy of Brittany, who died on 29 September 1364 in one of the key battles of the Hundred Years’ War between England and France at the town of Au revoir. Charles de Blois was later beatified.
The optimal quilted jacket for HMB, tournament fencing, manoeuvres and role-playing games.
The correct, complex cut of the body and sleeves ensures a confident freedom of movement.
The alternation of longitudinal and transverse stitching gives the quilted jacket the “correct” historical appearance and functionality confirmed by the historical prototypes.
The quilt can be conveniently fitted with arm-points for attaching any armouring elements.
