180.00

Products of the Series “Onyx” are distinguished by a striving for correct historical forms, the ability to adjust to human sizes, and the neatness of assembly.
The default price is indicated for ABS plastic. Thickness 3 mm (optimal thickness for LARP games, MSF, Cinema, Theater, and Cosplay)

Optional for an additional fee:
– ABS plastic. Thickness 4 mm (optimal thickness for role-playing games on duralumin and textolite)
– ABS plastic. Thickness 5 mm (optimal for HEMA)
– Painting (dark metallic + varnish)
– Tassets (shields covering the thighs)

– Straps on the shoulders and a waist belt allow for a comfortable adjustment of the armor to the owner’s body.
– The matte version looks great without any painting, giving the surface of the product the appearance of blued forged metal.
– The middle and second half of the 16th century were marked by the appearance of smooth cuirasses, consisting of a solid breastplate and backplate, with an increased thickness of the steel sheet and a very clearly defined vertical stiffening rib, turning into a protrusion in the stomach area — such a shape was called “peascod breast”.
– Its introduction increased the chance of a pike slipping or a bullet ricocheting. By the 1620s, the protrusion was abandoned, with a simultaneous significant shortening of the cuirass, but the clear stiffening rib remained.
– After this, the shape and design of the cuirass did not undergo significant changes — there was only a gradual lightening and simplification of the protective gear in general due to the rejection of its individual elements.
