LARP bastard Sword

145.00

Total length: 120cm
Blade length: 90 cm
Handle length: 20 cm
Weight: 500 grams

A classic one-and-a-half sword of the High Middle Ages. Type B XII by Oakeshott.
In the conditions of role-playing fencing, it is perfect for any warrior both for fighting with one hand and for grabbing with two hands.
The light weight of the sword allows you to strike quickly and accurately without accumulating fatigue in your hands.
It is believed that these swords are of Germanic origin, as they are referred to as “Grans espees d’germania” (“Great Swords of Germany”) due to the frequency with which they are found on German monuments of the 14th century. However, research has shown that similar swords are also shown in many Spanish images from the same period; they have also been found in several English images. These swords were incredibly effective when slashing from horseback or when used two-handed in foot combat. These large swords were found as early as the 12th century and remained popular throughout the 14th century, with some specimens appearing as late as the 15th century
