LARP Longmesser

Description

Total length: 115 cm
Blade length: 86 cm
Handle length: 20 cm
Weight: 600 grams

Due to its size and lightweight, a one-and-a-half grossmesser can be quite confidently wielded with both one and two hands.
Typical for a grossmesser is the absence of a scabbard, they were worn with an open blade in the ring of the belt. Combat knives were a simple, modest weapon, and it was preferred by the Landsknechts in the XV – early XVI century.
Despite its somewhat unusual shape, it is quite convenient and familiar to hold the grossmesser. The long handle allows you to hold it with different grips, and the pommel in the form of a bird’s head does not allow the hand to slip off the handle even with a weak grip.
An additional protrusion-a bracket on the guard gives additional protection to the hands from the enemy’s weapon that has slipped off your blade, and also gives you the opportunity to jam and seize control of his weapon by turning your sword.
