This cap is a reconstruction based on archaeological finds and visual sources of medieval woolen headwear.
Regions: Rus’, Scandinavia, Europe, Byzantium, 9th-13th centuries.
This cap is sometimes referred to as the “Odin Cap,” based on finds from Birka (helmets found in several graves) and the Gnyozdovo Idol from the 2003 discovery.
The cap can be worn with a straight edge, with a turn-up on one side, or by cutting the edge into fringe.
The cap complements almost any outfit, provides protection from the sun or rain, and adds height and prominence to your silhouette.
