Helmet type II compilation. Rus, Steppe 12-13 century.
Helmets of this type were common in the Rus principalities and among steppe nomads in the late 12th – early 13th centuries.
Welded dome. Mild steel. Thickness 2 mm.
The dome of the helmet is taken from the “Black Grave” helmet. Nasal – from helmets from the Khazar Khanate. Spheroconic four-part dome without frame.
The edges of the helmet are wavy. The thickness of the helmet segments is 2 mm.
It is possible to decorate with brass linings between the helmet segments, with a dotted ornament, as well as a brass lining with an ornament under the nose plate. It’s also possible to install brass head plate with etching.
Etching is done at the request of the customer.
