One of the most valuable exhibits of Prague Castle is the Helmet of St. Prince Wenceslaus is stored in a sealed container made of safety glass.
It maintains a special microclimate – in particular, a 20% humidity. This and other indicators are monitored by the computer. The “dome” of the helmet won’t be open for about 20 years, until the time of the new restoration comes.
The helmet was used in combat. This is indicated by a notch left by a sharp and heavy object – an axe or a poleaxe.
