100% wool, handmade
A hat of a similar type was found during studies of the “I1” estate at the Nerevsky XXX excavation site. Hat – hemispherical, height (with the lower edge turned away on the top) – 12.5 cm. The bottom edge is bent upward on the top, forming a 6.3 cm wide band on the back of the cap and about 3 cm above the frontal part. The circumference along the lower edge is about 70 cm. On the upper part of the body (across the crown) there is an intentional dent. Its origin is difficult to judge: does it reflect the fashion trend of the time, made by the hand of the owner or formed under the weight of another object during its stay in the cultural layer?
