– Gothic sword – the name, in general, is conditional. By analogy of narrowed blades with the soaring spiers of the Gothic style in architecture, the distribution of which roughly coincides in time with the era of these swords.
– Their common feature is a rather rigid blade of faceted section – rhombic or hexagonal, oriented to an accurate injection.
– Unlike Romanesque swords, which, as a rule, had a lenticular section with a fuller, Gothic ones, when viewed straight from the front, are either a rhombus or a hexagon.
