The spoon and fork, which originated in the Sassanid Empire between the 6th and 7th centuries, was very popular in Byzantium – the empire of the great borrowers of everything beautiful and collectors of technology and knowledge. Naturally, they were borrowed by masters and since that time have been reproduced in one form or another and for almost 6 centuries. The last such forks are found in Europe, after the memorable events for Byzantium at the end of the 12th century.
Then many objects of applied art, as well as books, paintings and decorations are rendered in France, Italy, Burgundy. And later such plugs are in Russia.
As evidenced by the images on the engravings, finds of fragments of instruments.
