Oslo Stitch knitting or Oslo Style knitting is a technology for making knitted items confirmed by archaeological finds.

Woolen mittens are a very necessary element for historical reconstruction of any era. Only this piece of clothing will protect your hands from the cold during winter, early spring and late autumn hikes.
Also, this mitten on the left hand will save your shield hand from “shield disease” – sores on the shield hand from rubbing it with the umbo and the inside of the hole of a punch shield.

3-fingered mittens can often be seen on European medieval miniatures. This is explained by a very successful solution, in which the convenience and manageability of 3-fingered mittens is almost the same as that of gloves with fully separated fingers, but at the same time the fingers located in pairs freeze significantly less.
