Sword of type XIV by E. Oakeshott typology.
The sword artifact is kept in the Danish National Museum. Dated from 1280-1320. This sword is interesting by the presence of two hems on it, which is uncharacteristic for the majority of the swords of this period.
Blade length: 76 cm.
Total sword length: 93 cm.
Guard width: 20 cm.
Blade width at guard: 5.5 cm.
Blade thickness at guard: 5 mm.
Sword weight: 1450-1500 g.
Spring tempered steel. Hardening 50-52 HRC. Polished.
Sword handle wrapped in leather.
